WHAT TO EXPECT

At New Hope we want you to feel at home on your first visit. We believer the first time you attend, you'll find yourself enjoying the great music, encouraging messages, friendly people and comfortable atmosphere. We also know that going to church the  first time can be intimidating. Here are a few questions people have asked before coming.

What Kind Of Church Is New Hope?

We are an independent, non-denominational church.

        That Means:

  • We're locally owned and operated. The buck stops here. We set our own budget, hire staff, manage the facilities and decide what Scriptures to study each week.
  • The Bible is our sole authority when it comes to everyday living. In the essentials we believe in unity... in non-essentials we believe in liberty... in all things we seek to practice love.
  • We desire to unify believers. The divisions we have observed in churches over the years have more to do with man-made traditions than with issues of doctrine. At New Hope our goal is to practice the simple Christianity we see lived out in the New Testament

What Are the Worship Services Like?

Our worship services feature upbeat music (mostly contemporary songs with a few traditional favorites) and practical messages (to help you deal with real life's challenges). We believe that what you experience on the weekend should inspire you and help you understand how to apply the principles taught in the Scriptures to your life.

What Should I Wear?

You may wear what you like. We intentionally downplay the need to dress up for church.  We believe how a person dresses on Sunday in not as important as how they live on Monday. If you dress casually, you'll fit right in.

What About My Kids?

We have age-appropriate classes during our worship services for kids that are safe, fun and exciting. Each class is staffed with volunteers who love kids and who have been trained how to help them understand the basics of the Christian faith.
